**Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position**
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for the operational compliance with federal and state rules and regulations surrounding pharmacy practice and tactical implementation of pharmacy initiatives. Oversight responsibilities of the pharmacy manager may entail retail, infusion services, hospital or other pharmacy services. This functional leader is responsible for managing and leading pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other support staff who provide patient care or supportive services for respective areas of oversight. The leader partners with site nursing, medical, and administration leaders to optimize patient care through pharmacy services and ensures appropriate drug storage, preparation, and patient monitoring to meet the needs of patients.
