- Enters (new and refill) prescription orders in the computer to include:
- Upon receipt of the prescription check for insurance (Medicaid-obtain card), drug allergies, check for duplicate discount with Medicaid
- Alerts the pharmacist if any drug allergies are known and enter into the computer
- Alerts the pharmacist if any drug-drug interactions arise
- Enters and charges insurance prescriptions properly
