PhD Student (f/m/d) for the Investigation of Quantum Magnets Reference No.: QM /3 The Institute for Quantum Phenomena in Novel Materials conducts internationally leading research in quantum and frustrated magnetism, multifunctional materials, and superconductivity. It provides state-of-the-art facilities for materials synthesis, sample characterization, and X-ray and neutron scattering experiments, and works closely with theoretical research groups. As a PhD student, you will investigate quantum materials with a focus on quantum and topological magnets. Research centers on exotic states and excitations, such as quantum spin ice and spin liquids. These phenomena are explored through the identification of suitable materials and the use of physical property measurements and scattering techniques.
