Role and Responsibilities
A licensed professional who provides physical therapy services to patients as prescribed by the attending physician under the direct (but not on-site) supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Essential Functions
Treat patients to relieve pain and/or develop or restore function to reach the highest level of independence possible.Instruct patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.).Write clinical progress notes on the date of the visit for inclusion into the patient’s permanent record.Attend Physical Therapy staff meetings,conductin-service presentations and case conferences.Perform an on-site, joint visit with the assigned Physical Therapist initially, and communicate regularly for instruction in changes in the patient’s program.Communicate regularly with the case manager and other health care professionals assigne...
