Job Description
Physician assistants (PA) are licensed healthcare professional who works under the supervision of physicians to provide a wide range of medical services. They are trained to assess patients, order tests, diagnose illnesses, develop and implement treatment plans, and educate patients on health maintenance.
A central member of the healthcare team, PAs may also contribute to healthcare program development, research and evaluation within the healthcare setting.
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, testing, and diagnoses
- Consult with and refer to other health care professionals as indicated
- Provide clinical instructions and fully document all aspects of patient care
- Support discharge planning process as needed
