We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an exciting locum tenens opportunity near Haynesville, Virginia. If you're looking to work in a dynamic environment while providing crucial care to patients, this could be the perfect fit for you.
Position Overview:- Specialty: Gastroenterology (Board Certification Required).
- Coverage: Weekend-only coverage (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM).
- Responsibilities:
- Manage gastrointestinal (GI) emergencies.
- Perform Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP) procedures as needed.
- Ensure appropriate use of resources by focusing on emergent and urgent cases only. Routine scopes and colonoscopies are not performed during these shifts.
- Daily Patient Volume: Anticipated at 1 patient per day, focused on emergency cases.
