Summary This position is located in the Specialty Medicine Service Line at the Sioux Falls VA Healthcare System and reports directly to the Chief of Specialty Medicine. This is an open continuous announcement until Jun 30, 2026. Qualified applicants will be considered and referred as vacancies become available. Responsibilities The staff Hematologist/Oncologist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties. Evaluate, triage, and prioritize consult requests to ensure timely care for patients suspected of having Hematology/Oncology needs. Order and supervise the administration of chemotherapeutic agents. Participate in the multi disciplinary tumor board. Perform bone marrow aspiration and biopsies. Perform goals of care conversations and collaborate with the Hospice and Palliative Care team to coordinate care and manage symptoms of patients with advanced disease.
