We are seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in General Surgery for a 13-day assignment with our client in New York, starting Jul 10, 2026. This role primarily involves weekend call, with shifts running from 7 am to 7 am, focusing on a range of abdominal and soft tissue cases, including appendectomies, gallbladder removals, and the treatment of bowel obstructions or perforations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide general surgical care during weekend call coverage.
- Manage abdominal and soft tissue cases.
- Perform procedures such as appendectomies and gallbladder removals.
- Treat bowel obstructions and perforations.
- Adhere to a 7 am to 7 am shift schedule during call.
- Handle 24-hour out-of-house weekend call.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in General Surgery is required.
- Experience with the Allscripts EMR system.
