Reports to: Foreman
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Position Objective/Description:
Performs a variety of manual construction tasks under the direction of a crew foreman.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
+ Cut pipes to required lengths.
+ Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
+ Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
+ Install or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systems
+ Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects
+ Work site set up, maintenance, and cleanup, to include scaffolding construction and dismantling, barricade locating, and equipment locating.
