Position Overview
The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive cost estimates for plumbing, heating, and gasfitting projects across residential, commercial, and light industrial sectors. This includes reviewing drawings, collecting supplier and subcontractor pricing, preparing professional bid proposals, and ensuring all estimates meet Alberta codes, regulations, and internal profitability standards.
The Estimator reports directly to the General Manager or CEO and works closely with field and office personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracted work
