PODIATRIST
An established outpatient clinic in Rockland County, NY is seeking an experienced Podiatrist to provide preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankle, and lower legs.
Responsibilities:
+ Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related. structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results.
+ Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery and sets fractures.
+ Administers medications and local anesthetics.
+ Orders additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds etc.) to form a better diagnosis if necessary.
+ Refers patients to other physicians or specialists for consultation in an inter-professional manner.
+ Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems.
