Intertek is searching for a Pollution & Safety Advisor to join our Caleb Brett team in our Sarnia, Ontario office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Marine Pollution, Safety & Advising services.
What you’ll do:
- Monitoring client ship(s) to promote safe and pollution free operation while minimizing port time by improving operational efficiency.
- Ensuring that all ship‑board personnel involved in any supervised operations are fully aware of their role in and the requirements of such operations.
- Ensuring effective ship to shore communication channels are established and maintained throughout any supervised operation.
- Supervising mooring and unmooring operations and, where applicable, the ship's anchoring arrangements and ensuring the ship's arrangements always comply with applicable law and terminal procedures.
