Job Description
Postdoc in Developmental Neurobiology
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic postdoc to join the Barrett group from 15 September 2026 or thereafter.
Project Description
Our group studies human brain development and disease using iPSC‑derived models. This project aims to elucidate mechanisms of transcriptional variation in neural systems. We will generate human neural cell types from iPSCs, perform single‑cell RNA sequencing, CRISPR screening, and downstream cellular analyses to identify and manipulate transcript‑level variability. The role requires both wet‑lab and dry‑lab work, including experimental execution, data analysis, publication preparation, and presentation of findings at seminars and conferences.
Responsibilities
- Generate human neural cell types from iPSCs.
- Perform single‑cell RNA sequencing and related analyses.
- Conduct CRISPR screening experiments.
- Analyze and interpret larg...
