Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey has opening for two (2) Postdoctoral Associates for the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute, located in Piscataway, NJ. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate positions will study how environmental nanoparticles contribute to diseases. Environmental Nanoparticles of interest include those emitted from wildfires, traffic and micro-nanoplastics, the byproduct of degradation of plastics in environmental media. Diseases of interest include neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, metabolic diseases of the gut and respiratory health outcomes.The position will engage in transdisciplinary projects that characterize the toxicological effects of emerging environmental pollutants using advanced cellular and animal models.Rutgers NAMC is known for its transdisciplinary research on particle health effect research which spans a...
