Postdoctoral researcher in quantum algorithms and optimization
Full‑time, two‑year contract based in Otaniemi, Espoo (hybrid work model). Application deadline: 31 May 2026.
Your role and goals
Your primary task is to conduct research on quantum algorithms and optimization methods, both theoretically and in practical implementations. You will advance the research projects of the Micro and Quantum Systems (MQS) group, which includes potential work in quantum optics. Your goal is to produce high‑quality results, collaborate with group members, and publish in high‑impact journals.
In addition to research, you will supervise PhD students and contribute to the teaching activities of the research group.
Team
The group consists of one professor, one lecturer, one staff scientist, two postdocs and five PhD students, led by Professor Ilkka Tittonen.
