Job Description

Primary Purpose

:

The SME – Power Systems provides knowledge and expertise to maintain and improve electrical distribution equipment.

Specific Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide applied engineering and technical skills in the areas of:
  • Power systems studies
  • Power systems design
  • Power systems installation, including commissioning, startup, and training
  • Power systems maintenance and repair
  • Power systems troubleshooting
  • Transformer oil analysis
  • Insurance visits and completion of insurance recommendations as they pertain to power systems
  • Coordination of work with TVA for annual maintenance of systems
  • Arc Flash studies
  • Short circuit analysis
  • Electrical coordination
  • Contingency planning
  • He/she is the referent in the plant for any issue that may emerge in the areas covered above.
