About the roleThe Taylor Institution Library, part of the Bodleian Libraries, supports teaching, research and events in modern European languages and literatures. Working as one of two Premises Assistants, you will help provide a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for library users. Duties include welcoming visitors, controlling access, responding to enquiries, supporting opening and closing routines, receiving deliveries and assisting with building security. You will also help prepare rooms for lectures and events, move furniture, set up audio-visual equipment, carry out basic maintenance and cleaning tasks, and support health and safety procedures. Some work may be required in other Humanities Libraries. This is a permanent, part-time position, working 22 hours per week (0.6 FTE). The working pattern will be as follows:
