Position Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the preparation of food in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. The Prep Cook supports safe, sanitary, and efficient food service operations while upholding Trinity Health’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Guiding Behaviors.

What You Will Do

• Assist the cook with meal preparation following standardized recipes, portion control, and therapeutic diet requirements.

• Prepare and serve food that is palatable and appetizing, making only authorized substitutions.

• Follow all dietary, sanitation, and safety policies and procedures.

• Assist with food preparation for special meals and events.

• Ensure food and supplies are prepared and available for upcoming meals.
