Job Description
Education: College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 1–2 years. Willingness to relocate to a hospital, medical facility, or clinic is required.
Responsibilities
- Assess extent of injuries or illnesses of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment.
- Supervise emergency technicians and attendants.
- Administer pre‑hospital emergency care.
- Administer medications and provide advanced emergency treatments to patients.
- Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further care.
- Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided.
- Assist hospital personnel with provision of medical treatment, if necessary.
- Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
- Class4/4F/F/4A‑B‑C licence (for ambulances, emergency vehicles and buses with fewer than 24 passengers).
