Summary
Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Rossendale Area
Day-to‑day responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to children with various SEND, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
- Work with children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to facilitate a supportive learning environment.
- Support children with specific conditions such as ADHD, PDA, ASD, and EBSA, adapting approaches to meet their unique needs.
- Assist children with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), including non‑verbal children, to enhance their communication skills.
- Implement and record interventions as outlined in EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Engage with pupils during a 30‑minute segment of the 1‑hour lunchtime, either by supervising or running a lunchtime club or intervention.
