Job Description
Responsibilities
- undertake the structural engineering design for discrete packages of work including the production of reports, calculation packages and specifications
- Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate the structural engineering solutions
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions
- Communicate your design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations
- Visit site to carry out inspections during the construction phase, and to assess existing structures
Qualifications
- An engineering degree and hold Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE)
- A working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes
- A developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software
