General Summary of Position
Receives inspects stores delivers and issues materials supplies and equipment. Maintains inventory levels by checking shelves restocks supply carts and maintains supply records.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
- Receives incoming materials supplies and equipment and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment against purchase order. Inspects shipments for damages or defects records discrepancies or damages in shipment and notifies supervisor or purchasing personnel. Receives requests for supplies selects stock from inventory loads distribution vehicles and distributes supplies and special instruments to requisitioning departments. Obtains authorization for accepted items.
