Job Description
Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible to study and understand the requisition of materials from the various jobs/contracts, source for ideal suppliers, negotiate the optimum prices and manage appropriate logistics for delivery. He will effectively manage the inventory levels as per the prescribed norms.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the superior in procuring materials, equipment, equipment hire, labour hire, subcontracts and services to the job site according to the company's purchasing policies and procedures.
- Obtain and review quotes from suppliers, and make recommendations to the Senior Officer Purchase.
- Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, equipment hire, labour hire, subcontracts and services to the job site.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of purchases and inventory.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
