GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY / TASK DESCRIPTION . Negotiate / communicate with suppliers specifying quality, quantity, and delivery schedules . Schedule, arrange, and follow-up on logistics to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of items on board . Monitor schedules of the assigned group of vessels to optimize deliveries on board . Proactively participate in department meetings and other activities 3. EXECUTION . Processing ship's requisitions via the defined in Company Procurement procedures/system . Evaluate bids and make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors . Create and send purchase orders after approval . Prepare items for shipment, arrange for transportation of product and coordinate shipments of supplies to ships . Update good receipt for each order . Processing of invoices belonging to the orders she/he has created and/or are related to her/his group of vessels ...
