The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing quality goods and services at the best possible cost. This role requires strong supplier relationship management, market research, and effective documentation and inventory monitoring. The officer will also be hands‑on in supplier scouting, including visits to markets such as seafood ports and commissaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing processes and ensure the timely procurement of goods.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers to meet company standards.
- Negotiate with market vendors to secure competitive pricing without compromising quality.
- Conduct weekly sourcing activities in the biggest seafood markets and coordinate with the commissary.
