JOB SUMMARY: The Production Group Leader is responsible, within an assigned production area, for performing daily operational and administrative tasks related to the accurate and timely distribution of product to customers, and may be required to perform manual production tasks due to business demand, or in the Production Supervisor’s absence, or as assigned, is responsible for performing delegated non-personnel-related work management activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Schedule/prioritize work within production area
• Observe all safety and security requirements
• Manage customer orders
• Perform inventory control and reconciliation/audit, track job orders, close orders, record scrap, and maintain the accuracy of completed parts and required inventory
• Complete any and all required documentation
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles
