Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Provide care for patients with acute conditions by building therapeutic relationships and responding to their physical and emotional needs while delivering effective care.
- Administer patients' medication and treatments and monitor outcomes.
- Manage symptoms of mental illness, de-escalate stressful situations, and support patients in overcoming challenges.
- Engage with patients' families and other members of the healthcare team, providing advice and information regarding patients' conditions.
