Job Description
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA
- Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures and protocols.
- Must be competent with the Hospitals Policies and Regulations.
- Ability to supervise staff in theatre.
- Must have experience in handling drugs and scheduling is a legal requirement.
- Equipment maintenance and motivations.
- Ability to teach staff in the unit.
- To ensure that Theatre is always running at the highest standards.
- Comply with SANC and stakeholder legislation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with valid APC.
- Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues are essential.
- Preferably have two or more years of experience as a Scrub Nurse in Theatre.
- Preferably be Theatre trained or qualified.
