Job Description
Minimum Requirements (non-negotiable):
- Based in Cape Town
- 68+ years experience in the building/construction industry
- Proven team/department management experience
- Qualification: Degree / National Diploma / BTech in Construction Management, Construction Studies, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying
- ECSA / professional registration advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the department
- Lead multiple complex projects from feasibility through to completion
- Review and sign off on technical designs, contracts, and documentation (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, GCC)
- Manage project delivery in terms of scope, budget, timelines, and quality
- Build and maintain client, stakeholder, and regulatory relationships
- Drive business development, including identifying opportunities, preparing bids, and securing new work
