The Program Buyer ensures that material for assigned programs is ordered per procedure, delivered on time, received within specifications, and within budget. They will be expected to maintain
a consistent line of communication open with Program Management, to keep up to date on program specific details, such as requirements, schedule, budget, etc. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager
- Represent the purchasing department on assigned development program teams. Attend program milestone meetings (i.e. ITCM, PDR, CDR)
- Coordinate with sourcing to create a purchasing strategy for the program.
- Act as liaison between sourcing and IPT to ensure all parameters required by purchasing (supplier, price, safety stock, etc.) are entered correctly into the ERP for full program BOM
- Ensure ERP system generates the correct action messages to satisfy program milestones.
