This position is located within the Research Service at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Program Specialist serves as a central point of contact for all Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Safety items in research. Responsibilities ***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Conducts assessment of laboratory animal use and safety proposals, ensuring compliance with Office, VA, and regulatory (USDA, OLAW, etc.) policies and determines when requirements of approval have been met and issue approval documentation.
