Overview
The mission of the Department of Public Works is to deliver quality public building infrastructure for Nova Scotia, ensuring institutional infrastructure improves the lives of Nova Scotians and supports the province’s climate change goals. The Building Infrastructure Design and Construction (BIDC) Division is responsible for designing and constructing new and renovated building infrastructure ranging in value from $1,000,000 to $500,000,000, including schools, courthouses, healthcare facilities, museums, provincial buildings, and highway operation buildings.
