Medipost Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a Learner Post Basic assistant in the Chronic Dispensing Unit which is being conducted for the Department of Health in the Western Cape. This position reports to a CDU Pharmacist.
Primary purpose of the job
- Dispensing of patient parcels according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure each item and parcel that leaves bagging station is for the correct patient, labelled correctly and in the correct patient bag.
- Ensure error parcels are speedily force closed using the correct reason code and taken to exception station.
- Replace bags at bagging unit once it runs out.
- Ensure there are sufficient stock of TEE’s when you are working at the single line stations.
- Inform supervisor of any bagging, label or item related problems.
