Job Description
Conduct thorough visual inspections of pipeline welds ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards such as ASME B3 or API. Verify welder qualifications and monitor welding procedures (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR) to ensure compliance. Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) interpretation – Radiographic, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, and Dye Penetrant – to assess weld integrity and identify defects. Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions taken during welding activities.
QualificationsPossesses a Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Holds a valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS); or equivalent.
