In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for managing the laboratory quality initiatives including regulatory and organizational mandates. Complies with quality and patient safety regulations and accreditation requirements (NYS, DOH, TJC, CAP and CMS). Develops and administers the Quality Management Plan. Reviews statistical data to identify quality problems. Analyze the data and recommend changes to processes or quality control programs to eliminate problems. Develop and monitor continuous improvement programs. Coordinates the ongoing proficiency testing program. Works with each of the Quality Systems Specialists in a managerial role to review their interactions with the section heads to ensure the accuracy and integrity of their plan including data capture and reporting.
