This function supports the quality department and AWT’s overall business performance objectives through fulfillment of quality control and assurance activities, primarily on all factory projects executed by the welding and machining departments. This role is primarily based at one of the Two Roads entities - Applied Welding Technology factory based in Kempton Park but may seldom require client or supplier site visits. The incumbent will be reporting to the QA Manager and will be responsible for the Welding Coordinator.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensuring that quality requirements as prescribed by either by customers or relevant specifications, are always satisfied
- Assurance and continuous improvement regarding compliance to customer quality requirements, and those of relevant specifications and standards.
- Effective coordination of inspection and NDT personnel and activities
