Job Description
Responsibilities
- Cost Planning & Estimation – Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for new production batches or specialized manufacturing projects. Analyze blueprints and technical specifications to determine quantity requirements. Calculate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for production.
- Procurement / Vendor Management – Source raw materials and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost‑effectiveness. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ). Evaluate vendor quotes and manage the supply chain to prevent production delays.
- Production Monitoring – Track actual material usage against estimated take‑offs to identify wastage or shrinkage. Provide cost‑impact assessments for any changes in production design or material specifications. Prepare monthly valuation reports and cost‑to‑complete forecasts.
