Freelance Quantity Surveyor – High‑Tech Fit‑Out (Processing Plant)
Location: Cambridge (site in Baldock)
Contract: Freelance – 6 Months (outside IR35) Client open to 3-5 days
Rate: £300–£450 per day
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
A freelance Quantity Surveyor is required for a high‑tech processing plant fit‑out programme in North Hertfordshire. This is a hands‑on role working for a specialist subcontractor delivering internal packages on complex industrial and technical schemes. You’ll work closely with a commercially minded Director and be based mainly on site, managing day‑to‑day commercial activity and ensuring accurate records, measurements and cost control.
Scope of Works
• Fireboarding
• Dry lining and ceilings
• Firestopping
• Flooring and resin systems
• Internal and fire‑rated doors (plus some external doors)
• Roller shutters and fire curtains
