Overview
This position provides an essential service to facilitate the conduct of safe work by Candu staff and contractors in Candu licensed facilities and at client sites across the world. The successful candidate will be expected to meet Candu's business objectives/customer requirements, and to ensure that this function is performed efficiently, within all applicable regulatory requirements. This position reports functionally to the Radiation Protection (RP) Manager.
Your role
- Develop a good knowledge of the RP program and procedures at Candu Energy.
- Develop a good knowledge of all instruments used by Radiation Surveyors in the course of their work.
- Achieve Group 1 RP qualifications as well as RAMT qualification.
- Perform and participate in formal and on-the-job training, as required.
- Perform radiation surveys as requested by supervisors, including daily routine radiation surveys.
