Job Description
Summary:
Utilizes Radiation Therapy Equipment, under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist, for the delivery of prescribed doses of ionizing radiation and records pertinent treatment parameters as indicated. Performs simulation procedures, accurately outlines treatment portals and documents parameters in the treatment record.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of equipment operationDemonstrates the ability to turn equipment on/off properly and perform quality assurance tests/procedures daily.Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment and patient setup problems.Immediately reports any machine malfunctions or deviations to the physicist and appropriately documents the incident in the machine maintenance log.Demonstrates the skill and abilities to accurately assess whether or not simulated procedures can be performed or reproduced on the linear accelerator/simulator and modifies setups accordingly.Displays ability to use a...
