Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning and adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified positions, and setting exposure factors.
- Perform procedures in General Radiology, Ultrasound, and CT Scan sections.
- Ascertain completion of informed consent for invasive procedures.
- Conduct assessments for allergy and contraindications for procedures requiring contrast or medication.
- Review and evaluate developed X‑rays, records, or computer‑generated information to determine diagnostic suitability.
- Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam‑restrictive devices, and applying knowledge of exposure factors.
- Prioritize urgent or critical tests and relay critical results to the physician within 15 minutes.
