An opportunity has arisen for a Radiological Protection Engineer within AtkinsRéalis’ expanding Decommissioning Services team. The successful candidate will report to Senior Engineer/RPA and will take a leading role in the radiological protection aspects of the projects on which Decommissioning Services are engaged.
The RP specific work on projects currently being delivered include:
The provision of high-level technical advice to client sites. Detailed technical design and review of products, technology and processes including modification of RP arrangements. The provision of RP support and oversight of practical delivery of operational decommissioning work (e.g. size reduction of redundant components etc.). Whilst the main roles and responsibilities will be based around radiological protection, there will be significant cross over with radioactive waste, therefore flexibility is essential.
