JOB DESCRIPTION: Greets visitors, answers and screens incoming telephone calls by providing information or take messages and distributes them to appropriate employee. Follows organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Uses specialized techniques in the transport of sick or convalescent persons. Supports cost efficient/effective delivery of care. Participates in unit based and hospital-wide Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
Gives and / or receives information regarding patient schedule and information. Prepares rooms to receive patient; sets up necessary equipment and ensures neatness and cleanliness of room. Assists with preparing patients for procedures. Obtains necessary forms and information for exams. Transports patients, records, specimens and equipment to designated areas throughout organization.
