Apply roentgen rays safely to patients for diagnostic purposes upon the request of a physician. Workload is expected to be 60% in Radiology and 40% in Cat Scan, but this may vary depending upon volumes.
Uses correct technical parameters and positions patients accurately to produce images as prescribed by a physician.
Correctly sends images to PACS, including all appropriate scanned paperwork and comparison exams.
Shares in call status to provide around the clock coverage.
Explains procedure to each patient prior to exam.
Provides for patient privacy, comfort, and safety.
Effectively communicate exam preparations and scheduling needs with the hospital staff.
Provides immobilization devices as required.
