The recreation therapist will be required to evaluate, plan, implement and document according to the CT DPH standards as well as the expectations of the Director. This individual will create therapeutic recreation programs that benefit each resident’s health, functional status and overall quality of life. The individual will be responsible for the successful provision of recreation and leisure in 1:1 sessions, small groups, large groups and house wide facility events. This individual will maintain a diverse calendar of programs to meet the social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and physical needs of each individual resident.
