Duties & Responsibilities
- Refractory Installation & Repair:
- Install, repair, and maintain refractory linings in furnaces, kilns, boilers, ovens, and other high-temperature equipment.
- Lay refractory bricks, castable, plastics, and insulation materials according to drawings and specifications.
- Mix, apply, and cure refractory materials to required standards.
- Surface Preparation & Demolition:
- Remove damaged or worn refractory linings safely and efficiently.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, and breaking out old material to ensure proper adhesion.
- Inspection & Quality Control:
- Inspect refractory installations for defects, cracks, or wear.
- Ensure work meets quality standards, tolerances, and manufacturer specifications.
