Refrigeration Technician Role Overview
The Refrigeration Technician repairs and maintains commercial refrigerated display cabinets and self-contained freezer systems. Based in Johannesburg, this role supports retail clients, primarily Shoprite, with both locally manufactured units and imported Fricon systems.
Key Responsibilities Field Maintenance & Repairs Repair locally manufactured refrigerated display units. Service imported Fricon self-contained freezer systems. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical component failures. Diagnose refrigerant leaks and execute safe recoveries. Perform brazing, evacuation, and precise system re-charging. Client Relations & Service Delivery Serve as primary technician for Shoprite stores. Maintain professional relationships with retail store managers.
