Summary of Duties
Responsible for primary care of Cardiology and CV Surgery patients. The main functions of the RN include, but are not limited to: assessment, intervention, education and patient advocacy. The RN supports the Philosophy of Patient-Focused Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The RN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications / Skills
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- Current B.C.L.S. Certificate.
- Minimum one year cardiology experience required.
- Minimum one year CV surgery experience required.
- Minimum one year VS surgery experience required.
- Minimum one year acute care experience required.
- Coronary Care I required (Humber College or equivalent).
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with venipuncture preferred. ...
