Summary The Kansas City VA Healthcare Network is seeking Registered Nurses for the Inpatient Service, Med/Surg. The RN delivers competent, evidence-based care to assigned patients and provides oversight for licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants as appropriate to the clinical setting. The nurse also contributes to the development and coordination of nursing education, orientation, and competency activities, and supports quality improvement and outcomes-focused initiatives. Responsibilities The major duties and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical-4E include but are not limited to: Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal care.
