About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning, and implementation of programmes of care. These programmes are developed in partnership with patients, their family, whānau, carers, and significant others, and are grounded in evidence‑based practice. Care planning reflects each person’s lifestyle, race, gender, cultural background, and the physical, mental, and emotional factors that influence their health. The RN works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across both primary and secondary health settings, actively supporting the delivery of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes vision and demonstrating its values in everyday practice.
